War Horse Movie Review

A movie directed  by Steven Spielberg and brought to life from a novel written by Michael Morpurgo, comes a fascinating movie entitled 'War Horse'. A movie that tells about hope and the journey of people and horses during World War I. Starring Jeremy Irvine as Albert Narracott, a young naive boy from Devon who's devoted to his magnificent horse named Joey, and Peter Mullan as Ted Narracott the reckless father of Albert who barely understands his son.

The story begins in Devon at a country side in England. When Albie (Albert Narracott) witneses the birth of a foul, it was love at first sight for him. To his surprise, Ted bought the foul at an horse auction. As Albie bonds with Joey, Ted sell Joey to Captain James Nicholls (Tom Hiddleston) for the war between England and Germany. From then, Albie is determined and promise to see Joey again. Will Albie be able to keep his promise?

The film produces powerful yet believable setting created by Rae Smith who has won an Obie award. With the blend of such detailed and authentic costumes and props by an award winning academy awards Johanna Johnson, it makes for a stunning and magical movie.

War horse is a truly a must see movie. This touching story will drive you to tears before you know it. Don't miss it!
